 Description

This route along the footpaths following the Lloret coastline allows visitors to enjoy some of the town's sights, such as the Santa Clotilde Gardens. The excursion lasts two hours and offers fabulous natural beauty and landscapes.
The route sets off from the monument to the Dona Marinera (the Sailor's Wife) by the sculptor, Ernest Maragall, And follows the coastal footpath to the beach at Fenals, going through the charming Cala Banys cove and the medieval Sant Joan's tower. After reaching the beach at Fenals, leave the coastal footpath and follow the signs to the Santa Clotilde gardens which date back to the nineteenth-century, a must-see if you want to savour some of the best in landscape architecture. Taking the road, you'll come to the beaches at Sa Boadella, Santa Cristina and Treumal. At Santa Cristina beach, you can visit the hermitage dedicated to the patron saint of Lloret. Carry on walking until you reach the Pinya de Rosa Botanical Gardens, where you'll find over 100,000 species and one of the world's foremost collections of cacti. From the botanical gardens, carry on to the Santa Bàrbara Hermitage dating from the Romanesque era to complete the route to the Sant Joan's tower, a twelfth-century building with a tower dating from the sixteenth century.
